Transforming Lives
Chrysalis Care, Foster care Butterfly

Being a carer

There is no one type of person or family who make the ideal foster carers. All children and young people are individuals and we need all kinds of foster families.

We want to hear from single people, married people or those living with a partner. We need foster carers from all sorts of cultures and all races. We need people of all sorts of ages, as long as you are over 21, who can provide stability and care to troubled children.

As a Chrysalis foster carer you would receive:
Regular and frequent visits by your supervising social worker
24-hour helpline - speak to a qualified social worker at anytime you need to
Introductory and ongoing training including NVQ
Monthly support group
Access to our own holiday accommodation
Support from a qualified play therapist
Educational assistance from our qualified teacher and our education promotion worker
A generous, realistic weekly allowance.
Work from home.
Don't neglect this opportunity to build a rewarding career as a foster carer
