What does Chrysalis Care aim to do?
Chrysalis Care aims to provide the best care for children. Chrysalis Care was born in 1997 and has been looking after children since then. Some children need to be looked after for just a little while and some children need to be looked after for longer. Some need to be the only child in a family and some need to be with their brothers and sisters. Some children can't go to school for some reason and need a teacher to come to where they live. Some children need special help to sort out their problems and some older young people need help to get ready for living on their own. Chrysalis Care can help in all of these situations.

Where will I live?
Chrysalis Care has lots of families who like fostering and so we can choose the best family for you. Our foster carers live in all sorts of places. Some live in London and some live by the seaside, and some live in the countryside, some live in big towns and some live in little towns. We hope you will be happy while you are living with your foster carers wherever they live. If you are not happy for any reason there are people you can talk to.

We at Chrysalis Care will always try our very best to see that you are well looked after and that you are happy.

Sometimes you may be unhappy or worried about something. There may be something you don't like about Chrysalis Care or your foster carers. You may be upset about something that is going on at school or somewhere else. The most important thing to do is to talk to an adult you trust. This might be your foster carer, teacher or family support worker. Whoever you choose will listen to you and try to help you sort out the problem. If it will help they may talk to your social worker or someone else. This usually does the trick and sorts the problem out.

If after speaking to someone you are still not happy, you should ask to see Lou Boden, who is the Chrysalis Care complaints person. Lou will help you to write down your complaint and make sure that he understands what is worrying you. To make sure that everything is done fairly Lou may ask someone who does not normally work for Chrysalis Care to listen to the problem and help to work things out. Within 28 days you will be given a written reply saying what has been done or could be done to sort out the problem.

If, when you get your written reply, you are still not happy with any decisions that have been made, you can ask for your complaint to be heard by the Complaints Panel. They are a group of people who will suggest to Chrysalis Care what should be done to sort out any problems. Within a day or two you will get their suggestions in writing. This should really help to make things better.
